Welcome: What SportsVisio Makes Possible

You dropped 24 last night. Three threes. A nasty crossover that left your defender looking at the scoreboard. But by Monday? It's just a memory. No proof. No tape. No way to show anyone what you did.

That changes now.

SportsVisio tracks every stat automatically, and generates highlights of your best plays. That crossover? It's a clip you can post. Those three threes? They're on your shot chart. And when a coach asks what you can do? You send them a link.

This is how players get seen.

Countless players have leveraged SportsVisio to build their recruiting reels. Players from 902 Hoops in Halifax have gotten signed to professional teams using their SportsVisio profiles. Duncan Robinson—yeah, the NBA sharpshooter—is a strategic advisor because he knows what this means for players at every level.

Building Your Personal Brand

Let's be real: coaches search for recruits. They check Instagram. They look for evidence that you're serious about your game. SportsVisio gives you that evidence.

The Weekly Highlight Routine

Every Sunday (or whenever your game is processed):

  1. Check your new stats and highlights
  2. Pick your best play of the week
  3. Post it with a quick caption

Sample Captions That Work:

  • "3-for-5 from deep today. Putting in the work 🏀"
  • "Best dime of the season. My teammates finish."
  • "Down 8 in the 4th. We came back and won by 5. This steal started the run."

What Coaches Actually Look For

When a college coach clicks your link, they're scanning for:

  • Consistency: Are your stats solid game after game?
  • Specific skills: Can you shoot? Handle? Defend?
  • Game situations: How do you perform under pressure?
  • Coach-ability: Do your clips show you making good decisions?

Pro Tip: Don't just post dunks and threes. Post the hockey assist. The box-out. The charge you took. Coaches notice that stuff.

The Long Game

Building a recruiting profile isn't a one-week project. Here's the timeline:

  • Freshman/Sophomore: Start recording. Build habits. Accumulate film.
  • Junior: Your profile should have 20+ games. Start reaching out to coaches.
  • Senior: Keep adding. Send updates. Follow up.

The players who get recruited aren't always the most talented—they're the most visible. SportsVisio makes you visible. Here is a detailed guide:  How to Make a Recruiting Highlight Video College Coaches Will Actually Watch

Getting Better with Data

Using Stats for Self-Improvement

Your stats tell a story. Here's how to read it:

High Points, Low FG%:

  • You're taking shots, but efficiency needs work
  • Focus on shot selection in practice
  • Work on finishing at the rim

Low Assists, High Turnovers:

  • Decision-making needs improvement
  • Work on court vision
  • Practice passing under pressure

Low Rebounds for Your Position:

  • Boxing out technique
  • Positioning and anticipation
  • Effort and hustle

Few Steals/Blocks:

  • Not necessarily bad!
  • Could mean you're not gambling
  • Check if your defense is solid overall

Film Study for Players

Watch your own highlights to learn:

What to Look For:

  1. Scoring Plays:
  • What creates your best shots?
  • Where do you score most efficiently?
  • What's your go-to move?
  1. Mistakes:
  • Why did that turnover happen?
  • What led to that missed shot?
  • How could you have made a better decision?
  1. Defense:
  • Are you in the right position?
  • Are you closing out correctly?
  • Are you helping when needed?

Working with Your Coach

Bring your stats to conversations with your coach:

Good Questions:

  • "I noticed my 3P% dropped last month. What do you see?"
  • "I'm averaging 3 turnovers per game. What should I work on?"
  • "My rebounds are up—what helped?"

Avoid:

  • "Why don't I have more points?"
  • "My stats should be higher."
  • Comparing yourself negatively to teammates
