83 points.
Let that sit for a second. Bam Adebayo — a center, a guy who built his career on defense and passing and doing the dirty work — just dropped 83 on the Wizards. More than Kobe. More than anyone not named Wilt Chamberlain.
31 in the first quarter. 43 by halftime. 62 through three. By the fourth quarter, the only question was whether he'd hit 100.
He didn't. But what he did was maybe more impressive than the number itself.
He did it in a way nobody saw coming.
The Lesson in Bam's 83
Adebayo went 20-for-43 from the field. He was 7-for-22 from three — not exactly lights out. But here's the line that matters:
36-for-43 from the free throw line.
FTM and FTA, both NBA records for a single game.
Bam attacked. Relentlessly. He put pressure on the defense every single possession, got to his spots, drew contact, and executed. Forty-three free throw attempts isn't lucky. It's a choice. A player deciding that he's going to the rim no matter what's in front of him.
The best scorers in history aren't always the best shooters. They're the ones who know how they score and do it over and over until the defense breaks. The best teams find their way to the free-throw line.
That's the part of the game that shows up in the data before it shows up on SportsCenter.
You Have a Story Too
Bam Adebayo's 83 didn't come out of nowhere. It came from years of work.
We know that players in SportsVisio leagues and on teams that use SportsVisio are building that same body of work, just on their own scale. Every season, every game, every possession adds to the picture of who they are as players.
Recently, we released two new features designed to help you see the full picture.
New Feature: All-Time Leaders
For leagues running more than one season on SportsVisio, you can now see all-time statistical leaders.

For example, check out the Suburban Dad’s League. Dennis Kelly holds the single-game points record, dropping 48 in Season 1. If only his teamate, and league commish, Jason Eadie, wasn’t so unselfish, he could have turned those 42 and 43 points nights into a league record. We can’t wait to see these guys in Season 3!
Points. Rebounds. Assists. Steals. Three-pointers made. If a league has competed across multiple seasons, its cumulative body of work is now visible — ranked, sortable, and shareable.
This matters for a few reasons:
For players: Your stats don't reset when the season ends. Every game you've played on SportsVisio counts toward your all-time record. Build your legacy across seasons, not just within them. Many of our leagues are bringing their historical stats to us for integration - we love this!
For league organizers: This is the kind of data that keeps players coming back. When someone can see their name climbing a leaderboard season over season, they have a reason to register again. Retention, meet data.
All-time leaders are available now for any league with more than one season of SportsVisio data.
Which brings us to one of the All-Time Great SportsVisio performances. There are so many…
- Just last month, Kam Williams of Tuf Buckets in the Dallas Ultimate Hoops League went for 99 points!
- Keenan Hulbert torching the nets in Concord in the Cap City League for 66 last June.
- Bryson Brown going for 75 for Older Tropics in the Frisco Ultimate Hoops League.
- Melly Holden lighting up the night for 68 in downtown LA during SZN4 at Crosscourt
- And, that time that Andrew Persaud went off for 70 in Ultimate Hoops Pennsylvania.
